Controlling the spread of seasonal influenza in the pediatric population is quite important. On average, 226,000 people are hospitalized every year because of influenza. 

Persons three years of age or older should receive a single injection of 0.5 ml. Children 6-35 months of age should receive only 0.25 ml.

Kids two years of age and above with no history of asthma can receive the FluMist.
