Controlling the spread of seasonal influenza in the pediatric population is quite important. On average, 226,000 people are hospitalized every year because of influenza.
Persons three years of age or older should receive a single injection of 0.5 ml. Children 6-35 months of age should receive only 0.25 ml.
Kids two years of age and above with no history of asthma can receive the FluMist.
You can receive the vaccine at any of our three offices.
As of 10-09-09, we have received H1N1 "FluMist" at all offices. Remember, the mist can be given to children two years and up if they have no history of asthma. Also, if they received the seasonal flu vaccine in the mist form, they must wait 30 days before they can receive the H1N1 mist.
