He has stayed active in the teaching program and serves as a volunteer faculty in the Department of Pediatrics and has served as the medical director of Le Bonheur Cordova Urgent Care since 1993. Dr. Frizzell is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Before starting his current practice, Dr. Frizzell served as chief of medicine for Le Bonheur from 1991 to 1992 and chief of staff from 1995 to 1996. He served as president of the Memphis Pediatric Society in 1990 and received an Etteldorf Alumni Award in 2005. Dr. Frizzell received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and his medical degree at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. His medical interests include traumatic brain injury rehabilitation and chronic childhood illnesses.
When he’s not working, Dr. Frizzell enjoys playing his banjo, listening to bluegrass music, and going golfing and biking. He is married with two children and two grandchildren.
